Our dedicated team are
here to help you every single step of the way
Located near the picturesque town of Llangollen, Tyn Dwr Hall is one of the more unusual wedding venues in North Wales and promises a tranquil and awe-inspiring country escape for your wedding.
Tyn Dwr Hall is a family run destination wedding venue having gone through a full restoration by Mathew, Victoria and Tracey. Three generations of the family are still involved to this day.
Matthew and Victoria Jones
Mathew and Victoria stumbled upon the hall one morning whilst out walking, they fell in love almost immediately, and so began the loving restoration. Matthew’s background of owning a construction company gave him the vision of what Tyn Dwr could be, with Victoria guiding his sometimes-eccentric ideas in the right direction. You’ll quite often find the whole family at the hall; the children love playing in the Hall grounds and showing our guests around - it really is ‘family run’.
I think of our team as one big happy family. Well, I do in fact work with my Husband, Brother and Father, in addition to our extended Tyn Dwr family!
There is an immense pleasure to seeing couples enjoy their day, which makes my work so satisfying.
I have three daughters who have all inherited my passion for food, we’re slightly obsessed. We love to travel and experience new places, with a particular soft spot of Italy and its gelato.
Life is certainly exciting, which is why I’m so lucky to work with this amazing team of people.
Senior Wedding & Events Manager
Poppy lives and breathes weddings & events and has worked within the industry for over 12 years. She has an exceptional eye for detail and won’t let anything get past her! Poppy has been with the Hall since the very first wedding and now oversees the wedding and events team.
Poppy is always on the go, either hitting the gym at 6am or swapping her heels for trainers to run around the valley. A huge animal lover her life wouldn’t be complete without her own fur baby ‘Desmond the dog’ a real-life teddy bear!
Shannon is another one of our fantastic wedding managers. With a 1st class degree in Events Management, she’s got the knowledge and experience to match. Our social media queen, there isn’t much liking and sharing that gets past her. A music enthusiast, you can usually find her knee deep in mud at Glastonbury or running around after her crazy Cocker Spaniel Sergio.
Becky is the newest member to the wedding team. Previously a flight attendant, in the case of an emergency she is the go-to person!
Becky is extremely passionate and enthusiastic within her role; she loves building relationships with her couples and making sure everything goes to plan! A fun-loving lady, you can usually find Becky in her hometown of Shrewsbury sipping a delicious cocktail in one of her favourite nightspots.
Hayley is our fabulous and super organised Office Manager. She comes from a strong hospitality background having worked as a Restaurant Manager in a busy al’carte restaurant in her hometown on the Wirral. Her favourite thing to do is to spend time with her son Jake and you can usually find them both enjoying a steak in The Three Eagles Restaurant!
He’s the head of the family, or Head Druid as he likes to be known, and he’s building up quite a reputation with guests at the hall. A local boy with vast local knowledge, he’s the first point of contact for your guests on the big day. He is the green keeper, the historian and appreciates a nice glass of red.
Andrew makes sure that everything at the Hall is running smoothly. The first few months have been a steep learning curve with three storey chimneys, strange plumbing arrangements and an ancient well in the cellar. He has a very keen eye for detail which makes him perfect for making sure the Hall and grounds are always immaculate. He wishes he had more time on his bike and dreams of sunny days cycling through France; the valleys around Llangollen will suffice for now.
Andrew will be the gentleman who looks after your guests into the early hours. He’s spent time working abroad in some very interesting places but has his feet firmly settled at home now. We’re not quite sure how he remains so chirpy and upbeat considering the hours he works, but always has a happy smile on his face. If there’s something you want / need, Andrew is the man to ask.
