Floral Wedding moments at Tyn Dwr Hall: Understated Elegance for 2025 and 2026

by Rachel Peers, Owner & Principal Florist at Weddings by La Beau Fleurs

There’s something truly magical about Tyn Dwr Hall. Nestled in the heart of the North Wale countryside, it’s a venue where history and modern elegance come together in the most breathtaking way.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of creating wedding florals for so many wonderful couples here, and every time I return, I’m reminded just how effortlessly beautiful this place is.

As we step into 2025 and with 2026 on the horizon, I’m seeing a shift in floral trends – one that feels perfectly in tune with Tyn Dwr Hall’s unique character.  It’s all about understated elegance, refined minimalism and investment pieces that create lasting impact. I’m seeing couples move away from over complicated arrangements in favour of exquisite focal flowers, clean lines and soft timeless colour palettes that allow the natural beauty of both the venue and the florals to shine.

Minimalist Elegance: The Power of Simplicity

There’s a real beauty in simplicity.  I’m seeing couples lean towards intentional floral styling pieces that feel curated, elegant and effortlessly chic.

Think clean lines, soft textures, and monochromatic palettes. Whites, nudes and mochas effortlessly woven together to create an air of sophistication.

The statement fireplace in the Ballroom, the stunning light in the Garden Room or the breathtaking backdrop to an outdoor ceremony each lend themselves to this. The elegant and refined architecture here allows for understated yet elegant florals to add to the aesthetic rather than distract from it.

When considering your wedding reception, the height of the exquisite Garden Room allows for tall dramatic arrangements, or if you prefer to allow the backdrop of the Welsh countryside to take centre stage, then elegant, low-level centrepieces work equally well.

Exquisite Focal Flowers: Making Every Stem Count

One of my favourite shifts in floral trends this year is the move towards hero flowers – those standout, high impact blooms that truly steal the show.  Instead of masses of mixed florals, couples are opting for carefully selected, luxurious stems.  Think architectural cala lilies, romantic garden roses and cascading orchids arranged with an editorial, sculptural feel.

These luxury blooms sourced specifically for your wedding day respond well to styling with minimal fuss.  Often designs are created using just one flower variety with little or no foliage and a clean styling finish of glass accessories and candlelight.

Investment Florals : Repurposing with Purpose

Another exciting shift is the rise of investment floral pieces – designs that serve multiple purposes throughout the day.  I always encourage couples to consider florals that can be repurposed ensuring they make the most of their floral investment.

For example, a luxurious fireplace installation in the Ballroom framing your wedding ceremony can also provide the dreamiest top table design when moved to the Garden Room for your wedding reception. Statement aisle arrangements can later be repurposed onto your guest tables along with candles and bud vases from your ceremony table.

These small, but thoughtful design choices add an element of luxury while making florals work harder throughout the day and help to create lasting memories that live on in photographs for years to come.

Monochrome Magic: Effortless, Elevated, and Unforgettable

I’ve seen colour trends come and go, but monochrome floral styling is here to stay.  Whether it’s classic all-white for a crisp, modern aesthetic or soft nude tones for warmth and depth, a carefully curated colour palette ensures a look that is both timeless and effortlessly stylish. The key is in the details. Paired with carefully placed seasonal foliage and delicate textural elements, this approach brings a sense of cohesion and effortless beauty, working harmoniously with Tyn Dwr Hall’s enchanting atmosphere.
