Our typical planning schedule includes a 12 month meeting, 6 month meeting, final details meeting 12 weeks prior to your wedding and your final meeting between 1 month and 2 weeks before your big day. But you are more than welcome to come back to see us and the Hall at our regular House Warming events.
Absolutely we do, we have five at the venue but parents with babies are free to bring prams too.
For a civil ceremony the registry office is Denbighshire Registrars who you can contact on 01824 708100. You can also find out more on the whole process here.
It depends on your ceremony timings. If there has been a wedding the day before then check in is from 2pm, if no wedding the day before then we can make this 12pm. Llangollen is just down the road with lots of amenities if guests need a full change, but once here we will take their coats and we have lovely loo’s to freshen up in if you wish.
You are welcome to access to our entire estate for photo opportunities. We are lucky to have everything from water, forest, mountain, bridge, lawn and more options as well as the Hall itself. We recommend you attend one of our events with your photographer to plan everything.
The decision is up to you. If after, then you’ll have guests settled, fed and full of wine ready to enjoy everything you have to say. If before then you’ll settle your nerves quicker. Think about what is best for you.
Anything you like! Our team will cut it up following your instructions. You can choose to save a layer for yourself, cut up half and leave the rest or cut it all up. We have crockery and cutlery for guests to enjoy it with or you can provide neat cake boxes for them to take a slice home.
Residents are welcome to sit by our open fire and relax in the main Hall entrance till 2am. After this point we’d suggest getting some well deserved shut eye. We do have a midnight munchies option too if you’d like to book this for your guests. Don’t forget that our pantry in the Hall also has tea and coffee facilities which is permanently open.
You may choose a traditional style top table with up to 10 people, a round top table in the middle of everyone else, a sweetheart top table for just you 2, or a horseshoe style top table for a more intimate feel.
That’s up to you but is a typical and deserved gesture. We offer a 2 course supplier meal from £37.00
Yes absolutely providing this is in replacement of your wedding cake. We can provide one for you if you’d prefer, our costs include set up, crackers, chutneys, fruit etc – prices start at £550.
Yes please! We would love you to tell us your favourite 2-3 cocktails and we can even name them something special just for you. We’ll add them to the boards for your guests to order!
Yes and this is a great idea, this way you can manage costs and quantity for all. We can place a board with what your guests can use the tokens for on each bar.
Yes we have a pantry upstairs in the Hall with a fridge and typical kitchen white goods so you can chill your bottles or food.
Our House Warming Events are the perfect opportunity to bring your VIPs or suppliers to the venue. We hold one of these every month.
Yes we do have a recommended suppliers list of wonderful wedding creatives who have worked at the venue many times and we’re proud to work with them. You can see them here.
You do not have to use these set suppliers and you are free to be inspired. Please just make sure they have the relevant insurance and all equipment is PAT tested.
It depends on your ceremony time, but if you choose a 1pm ceremony, then 12pm is a great time to arrive, get a drink and relax.
I’m afraid not. Before 12pm all staff are working on getting everything prepared for your perfect day and so will not be available to welcome them properly. If travelling some distance we would suggest staying over nearby the night before.
This depends on your ceremony time but we would say typically 2 hours from then.
We recommend you cut your cake immediately after the Wedding Breakfast as this draws a lovely conclusion to the end of the meal.
It all depends on your ceremony time as this sets the timing for everything else to run from, but Evening Receptions typically start from around 7.00-7.30pm.
Breakfast is served between 8am-9am for Weekday weddings, and 8.30am-10am for Saturday Weddings only.
All cutlery, crockery, glassware, linens plus seasoning, menus and set up.
Of course you can! We ask that all cakes are nut free.
We are happy for you to bring sensible amounts of alcohol for the Dressing room and once our bar is closed at midnight, you and residents are welcome to bring items to enjoy around the fire till 2am. Don’t forget that we can provide all of this for you if you wish too!
Absolutely! We ask that bar tabs are arranged in advance so we can prepare, for more info please see here.
You as the wedding couple get your honeymoon suite complimentary. For everyone else we keep it really simple. We have an Online booking system which you can use as your own wedding with timings, directions and more on. Here guests can book and pay for their rooms easily and without you having to manage it. You can reserve rooms for special people using this too.
We ask that the Hall and Coach House is filled please, everything else is optional.
