Getting organised and planning your Wedding

Getting organised and planning your Wedding

Whether your wedding is 2 years, 18 or 6 months away, when it comes to planning a wedding organisation is key.

Before you begin your wedding planning, the first step is to sit down together and organise your guest list as accurately as possible. This way, when contacting your preferred venues, you can receive a realistic overall cost of your wedding which will determine whether this venue fits within your budget.

Many wedding venues will have minimum guest requirements and a maximum capacity.

Here at Tyn Dwr Hall we cater for a minimum of 60 daytime adult guests from Monday to Thursday and 80 daytime adult guests Friday and Saturday Weddings. For your ceremony we can accommodate up to 120 guests, up to 150 for the wedding breakfast and 200 guests to party the night away at the evening reception.

The fun all begins when it’s time to attend Private Viewings and Wedding Venue Open Days. So much potential to see and make your vision come to life, this is when you’ll finally see your day start to come together.

Once the date is set, request a list of recommended suppliers from your venue to begin wedding preparations. These suppliers will have attended your venue previously and know how to work with the team to ensure a smooth running of your day.

Going forward in the planning, write everything down – make lists, lists and more lists!

You can then tick things off as you go along and stay on top of your planning. Create a joint wedding email address and keep your dairy up to date. The last few months before the big day will be full of wedding meetings, hair appointments, makeup trails, suit fittings; so making sure you have some ‘wedmin’ days booked in your dairy is essential.

When you book a wedding with 6 months to go, a huge top tip of ours is to delegate. It can be hard to let go of the control rains, but your bridesmaids and groomsmen are there for a reason.
Organise your favours, planning the pre-wedding night, or just listening to all of your worries & ideas, your bridal party can be a great support.

Also remember to utilise your Wedding Manager, our Tyn Dwr Hall Wedding Team have lots of experience in wedding planning and are the experts in the field. There isn’t a wedding question they usually can’t answer straight away!

Finally, never forget to enjoy the process. From the moment you book your venue, to the moment you say ‘I do’, it all goes by in a flash. Taking time together to enjoy the planning process is so important, the day you found your dream wedding dress or taste tested your wedding cake will become such special memories.

Tyn Dwr Hall Real Weddings

Gwen & Tom Lloyd-Williams – 14th July 2022

We booked our wedding on the 8.1.2022 at Tyn Dwr Hall’s open day and our wedding was on the 14.7.2022. I loved planning our special day, but I must admit most of the planning/booking suppliers happened in the first month – the key is to not overthink.

After we booked the venue we received Tyn Dŵr’s recommended supplier list. This was a big help as we trusted their recommendations and knew they would only advise us on the best suppliers.

I found the process of arranging the wedding within six months so exciting, we had wedding related appointments/fittings/events nearly every weekend and I loved not having to wait months to complete each step.

We have no regrets at all and would definitely do it all again in a short amount of time. It was a whirlwind but the best 6 months. We had a perfect day and can’t thank Lissy our wedding manager from Tyn Dŵr enough she ensured the day and the months leading up to the wedding went smoothly ☺️

Aimee & Daniel Bennion – 5th May 2023

We fell in love with Tyn Dwr Hall and we thought booking a last minute wedding would be impossible but the wedding team reassured us and have been incredible ever since. The booking process was seamless and the communication is exceptional. Nothing is too much to ask. We managed to book all of our suppliers within the first week of organising our wedding with the help of the team and were in a great position where most of our wedding were in place with 4 months to go!

Thank you Tyn Dwr Hall!
