We know planning your big day may be exciting, but it can sometimes be stressful!  The team at Tyn Dwr Hall have created your very own Wedding Checklist to guide you through the milestones in the run up to the wedding day itself. But, don’t forget, the if you book your wedding with us here at Tyn Dwr Hall, you will have a dedicated wedding team available to help you every step of the way!

Book your dream wedding venue

So, you know who you’re marrying, but where?

It is important to secure the perfect venue as this affects almost everything else! It determines what your day will look like, what suppliers you will opt for, what theme works well with the venue and how many guests you can invite.

Check whether your local Registrar or Church is available on your wedding day

It is all well and good setting your wedding date with your venue, but, if there is no one available to actually marry you, you’ll have to start from the beginning!

After you have viewed Tyn Dwr Hall and would like to book, we provisionally hold your date for up to 10 days without deposit. This gives you plenty of time to contact Denbighshire registrars and book your Civil ceremony or contact your preferred Church.

If you do opt to a Church wedding, there sometimes are requirements you would need to fulfil to get married there, such as attending a certain amount of services in the run up to the big day.

Book your suppliers

If you have your heart set on certain suppliers, book them as soon as possible! From photographers, DJs, bands, cakemaker, hair, makeup and florist. We do have recommended local suppliers who have years of experience and are at Tyn Dwr Hall often. If your supplier hasn’t viewed the hall and grounds before, you are more than welcome to invite them to our Open House events to ensure they are fully prepared for your big day!

Whether you are wanting off the shoulder, drop waist, fish tail or lace, it’s time to find THE DRESS!

We recommend Emma Beaumont or Along Came Eve!

Thinking about your bridal party and what they are going to wear may seem like a task. Our best advise – make sure everyone is comfortable! It is such a long day with so many different photos being taken, ensure everyone is confident and happy!

Ensure you are ready in plenty of time for your ceremony. Putting the dress on takes time and you can’t forget about pictures!

Don’t forget about the boys – will it be black, blue, tweed or tails? There are so many different suit styles to choose from, our friends over at Whitfield and Ward can help you out!

Guest accommodation

Here at Tyn Dwr Hall, we can accommodate up to 66 guests throughout our Glamping Yurts, Cottage, Coach House and in the Main Hall. Our couples receive their unique online booking system pin code, which will allow them to allocate rooms to their guests. This can depend on whether they need a ground floor room, easily accessible room or family room.

If you do have more guests needing accommodation, we recommend hotels in Llangollen, only a five-minute drive away!

Send your invitations

Usually, wedding invitations are sent six months before your big day. These can include timings of the day, accommodation details, dietary requirements, date and venue. Don’t forget to provide an address for RSVPs to be sent to!

Menu Tasting

We arrange Menu Tasting approximately six months before your wedding day. Dine in our Garden Room with up to four guests, this is a great opportunity to taste your wedding breakfast prepared and served by our fabulous team.

Let your hair down!

After all of this planning, you definitely deserve to let your hair down and celebrate your excitement for the big day. Usually, your maid of honour and best man organise everything, whether it may be a night out, weekend celebrations or a mini holiday. All you have to do is turn up, have a wonderful time and forget about wedding planning, for now.

It’s all in the detail

Table names, welcome signs, favours… the list is endless!

Make sure you make a list of everything you have planned along with all of your supplier details! This way you can co-ordinate everything with your Wedding Manager!

The big day

THE BIG DAY HAS ARRIVED!

Everything has finally come together. There’s no need to worry about a think, relax, enjoy and be prepared to party all night long.

Remember to eat and keep hydrated… Prosecco does count!
