We met in high school, but became a couple after we both left school. We have been together for over 9 years. We got engaged at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai on the beachfront. This was all planned by George and I had no idea at all. The best part about wedding planning was being able to make a day that was unique to us and exactly what we wanted to celebrate us as a couple. We also loved being able to plan a once in a lifetime day celebrating with family and friends, and incorporating our own personalities into the day which Tyn Dwr Hall were amazing at helping us with.
I heard about Tyn Dwr Hall on Instagram not long after we got engaged. I was starting to search for wedding venues locally, as I knew I wanted to get married locally. I then made George and my family come to a private viewing/open day and then we just knew it was the one.
Stunning, Charming and Dreamy.
Amy was our wedding manager, and was absolutely amazing in sorting everything. We had a fewer minor amendments near to the day (the addition of singing waitresses) and Amy dealt with this amazingly – rejigging the timeline for the day and making sure our vision would work.
Amy was also always there to answer questions and provide suggestions – making what can be a stressful day completely seamless.
On the day Amy was completely on hand guiding us and allowing us to celebrate our day. Amy was wonderful.
The hands off approach, where I could trust Tyn Dwr Hall to put my vision and what I wanted in place for our big day. Nothing seemed too big of an ask at all. You really knew what you were doing but also were able to do it so that our wedding felt unique to us. Also the venue just speaks for itself and is so impressive.
The professionalism, and that everyone was so willing to make the day unique for us as a couple and really worked around what we wanted and how you could make that work. The location and gardens were also breathtaking. Also, we cannot forget the amazing menu – the food is outstanding.
Everywhere! But particular the gardens, by the cottage, the front of the house.
They were absolutely amazing and that is the feedback with have had from all our guests – that the staff went above and beyond. Everyone was kind, welcoming and very pleasant. Amy and Tracey were absolutely amazing on the day – nothing was too much and they made sure everything ran as expected and that everyone knew where they needed to be and when.
George was tasked with Wedding entertainment, and we wanted to have as much as we could throughout the day to keep our guests entertained and to break up the day. We were lucky to work with some great suppliers – Party Casinos for roulette tables, Candid Company for our evening photobooth, DJ Lee Morrison and Jonny Crane Sax for our evening entertainment. Along with Black Box Events North Wales (the singing waitresses) – who were are great last minute addition for our wedding breakfast. All the suppliers were such professionals and really added to making the day so special.
In the few days before… the weather (but I quickly realised I could not control this), and on the day the weather ended up being perfect. Mostly trusting other people to put the vision of our special day to life, which was achieved perfectly by Tyn Dwr Hall and all our trusted suppliers.
Tyn Dwr Hall is a venue that just speaks for itself and does not need dressing up at all. I absolutely fell in love with wanting a soft blue coloured theme for our wedding and we achieved this through the colour of our bridesmaids, the ties, the décor and flowers on the day.
The singing waitresses – it just got everyone in the wedding breakfast up and dancing, and there was even a conga around the garden!
The bestman’s speech that started with an Adele tribute. A last minute addition – thanks to Amy helping the best man Danny.
For our canapes we had – Sticky Dragon Sausage; Shepherd’s Pie; Halloumi Chip; Crostini.
For our wedding breakfast we had: Crispy Duck Leg; Slow Braised Beef Brisket and White chocolate and Raspberry Blondie (the vegan menu was Roasted Tomato Soup; Curried Coconut Stew and Dark Chocolate Parfait)
For our evening food we had loaded fries – Fry me to the moon.
The food was just amazing and there was so much of it! Our personal favourite was the Crispy Duck Leg – it was just so tasty.
We were lucky to try nearly all the food we chose during our tasting evening and this really helped make our choices, as we ended up picking dishes we would not necessarily have picked had we not tasted them. So, the tasting evening is a definite must!
Bride and Groom at about 2am!
Definitely have moments throughout the day for just the two of you! Trust in those you have chosen to be a part of your day – from the venue and suppliers – they really are the experts and will do everything to make the day perfect.
