Dan and Gemma met on Tinder six and a half years ago and if it wasn’t for Dan reinstalling the app, he might not have seen Gemma’s message, bravely sent after they were matched!
Engaged at Lake Vyrnwy in 2016 after skimming stones at the lake, Gemma turned around to find Dan on one knee. They booked a visit to Tyn Dwr Hall the following day as they knew it was the venue they wanted to get married in.
Gemma enjoyed using her wedding planner to include all the magazine and online snippets in one place, and piecing everything together!
My hairdresser was one of the first people to get married there prior to the open days and raved about it.
Out of this world! I knew within two minutes of being there that I wanted to get married to Dan there. The staff, the location, the venue, everything was 10/10!
Stunning, classy and perfection!
Civil Ceremony.
Shannon was on hand whenever we had a query via phone or email. The service was amazing from prior to the wedding day, to after the wedding day when she checked how things were. Shannon attended our wedding day to ensure everything was taken care of and there was nothing to worry about on the day. Everything went perfectly and to plan.
The meetings were so much fun and made the planning exciting. Talking over ideas, nothing ever seemed too much trouble and the team ended up being like friends.
By the lake, the tunnel and in front of the fire place in the ceremony room.
Shannon was incredible and was so easy to talk to around any issue prior to the wedding and on the wedding day I didn’t even notice her there (in a nice way)! Shannon ensured everything was taken care of and guided us seamlessly through the day.
October 2016 when we got engaged and we married in March 2018.
Standing at the front of the aisle with over 100 day guests.
Not really however my husband chose Only Fools and Horses names for the tables for our reception!
Leek and Potato Soup, Lamb for the main course and rhubarb cheesecake for dessert.
We had a magician prior to the meal going round the guests and during courses too, which everyone loved! We had a DJ for the evening who played music from guest requests, there was something for all tastes on the night.
Only Fools and Horses (my husband’s obsessed) photo frames for each table with a character after which the table was named after i.e Delboy, Grandad and Uncle Albert.
My dad was told how long he was allowed and ended up going way over to the point we were worried the food would be coming out and there were still speeches to go! He then walked round the guests asking them to stand up and spoke around the talents we had in the room as ‘special guests’.
Walking down the aisle with my dad to meet Daniel at the front and see his face when he saw me in my dress.
Not us!
Take time out of your day, even if it’s ten minutes to spend together and take it all in away from everyone as it goes so quickly! Also, to have a basket of flip flops for evening guests to take their heels off gets more people on the dance floor.”
